Día de Los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a three-day holiday that focuses on celebrations and gatherings to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died. Families usually visit graves in cemeteries where their loved ones are buried and decorate their graves with altars (ofrendas), flowers such as marigolds (cempasúchil), and colorful candy skulls (Calavera), poems, photos, and other memorabilia. The intent is to encourage visits by the souls so that the souls will hear the prayers and the comments of the living directed to them.
Our Day of the Dead sleeve features symbols and imagery inspired by yearly celebrations and festivities. The candy skulls (Calavera) cover the center portion of the sleeve hiding the stems. Our proprietary K-cut top opening allows the blooms to fill the sleeve and enhances the appearance of your bouquet. The black and white color scheme will beautifully contrast your vibrant floral bouquets and make them pop!
